The first good feature about PowerAMP is its user interface. The Interface is very clean and most of the area is occupied by the album art. The volume controls and equalizer settings are kept in a different menu. There are few themes to choose from although there could have been more themes or the developer could have develop themes separately and make them available for install on market.
The gesture support is the most impressive feature in PowerAMP. The use of gestures to change tracks is very handy feature as you don't have to find the small buttons of previous or next track instead you can use more than half of the screen to change tracks just by left and right swype gestures. The transitions of Album art while changing the tracks is also cool. The developer can also add some more transitions while changing the tracks.
The album art download feature of PowerAMP works the most perfectly than all other players. The album art search is based on google tags search. PowerAMP can download almost all the album arts correctly without even renaming your tracks.
PowerAMP also provides a lock screen widget which overrides your system lock screen by a full screen PowerAMP widget. This feature is also very useful as you dont have to unlock your phone just to change your track.
The only downfall in this music player is it cant download lyrics and display. Although the new version does support downloading the lyrics via musixmatch plugin.
